Officials for Seattle’s Bumbershoot Music & Arts Festival have announced the initial lineup for the 37th annual installment, citing the Shins, the Wu-Tang Clan, Panic! At the Disco, Lupe Fiasco, Crowded House, and Gogol Bordello as highlighted performing acts. The festival is scheduled for Labor Day weekend (Sept. 1-3) at Seattle Center, the city’s 74-acre park beneath the emblematic Space Needle.
Additional acts rounding out the bill include: Kill Hannah, Norma Jean, Plain White T’s, the Gourds, Lyrics Born, DeVotchKa, Steve Earle, Roky Erickson & the Explosives, and the Aggrolites. A complete lineup will be announced as the festival nears. Discounted three-day passes are on sale now at Bumbershoot.org for $75 until Aug. 17, and $95 from then on. Day passes will cost $30 from July 13 thru Aug. 17, and $35 thereafter.
