Tour Updates: Morrissey, Postmarks

Morrissey, ex-Smiths frontman and unofficial king of mope has announced an extensive 46-date second leg to his spring and summer U.S. tour, Filter-Mag.com reports. Touring in support of 2006’s Ringleader of the Tormentors, round two will kick off with an April 27 performance in Stockton, CA before hitting Sparks, NV for a pair of gigs. From there, the Mozzer will weave throughout the U.S., logging stops in cities like Seattle, Salt Lake City, and Milwaukee. The lengthy jaunt will conclude with a descent of the East coast from Boston to Boca Raton.

In additional tour news, Miami indie pop outfit the Postmarks have announced the band’s first U.S. tour, Filter-Mag.com reports. The trio, expanding to a six-piece for the tour, will hit the road in support of their self-titled debut, which hit store shelves via the Unfiltered imprint last month. Kicking off in Philadelphia April 14, the tour will lead the group through metropolises such as Washington D.C., Detroit, and Chicago before leaping west and performing in Seattle, Portland, and Los Angeles. Finally, the Postmarks will hit Colorado for a pair of gigs and conclude the 15-date outing with three shows in Lone Star state outposts Dallas, Austin, and Houston.
