Hip-hop heavyweight Timbaland has announced that he will host a fundraiser for New York Senator and Democratic Presidential candidate Hillary Rodham Clinton on March 31 in Miami, MTV.com reports. The event is scheduled for the last day of the first-quarter fundraising period for presidential candidates, and will cost $1,000 per person to attend.
The announcement follows a heated start to the 2008 (read more) presidential election, in which Clinton and Barack Obama butted heads due to a scathing interview given by music industry mogul David Geffen. Geffen, an Obama supporter and ex-Clinton campaign member, recently threw Obama a fundraiser, which reportedly converted many entertainment head honchos to Obama’s party. Is Hillary looking to make up for lost ground?
