In the Spin Suite: Bob Mould

At SXSW 2007, there was no shortage of rock legends roaming the streets of Austin. We were most chuffed to have Bob Mould, one of our all-time faves, stop by the Spin suite. The man who helped stake indie rock’s claim on America with Hüsker Dü, wrote some of power pop’s biggest riffs in the ’90s with Sugar, and produced and engineered classics for Soul Asylum and Magnapop talked with SPIN.com’s Peter Gaston about his seventh solo effort, which is just on the verge of wrapping in Mould’s adopted hometown of D.C. with Fugazi drummer Brendan Canty and electronica maven Richard Morel handling production duties.
