Klaxons, Illinois, Dr. Dog Join Philly’s Popped! Fest

Officials for Philly’s Popped! Music Festival have announced Klaxons, Illinois, and Dr. Dog, among others, as performing acts at the 2007 installment, scheduled for April 9-15. Bardo Pond and the Spinto Band will also perform at City of Brotherly Love’s indie festival. Tickets for Popped!, a weeklong event exclusively focusing on the independent musicians and artists of Philadelphia, will be available at $50 for a full access pass.

Other notable Popped! performing artists include: Make a Rising, Normal Love, Grandchildren, Bear is Driving, Northern Liberties, Bad New Bats, Mountain High, Bird of Maya, Golden Ball, King Kong Ding Dong, the War on Drugs, Fan of Friends, Pony Pants, Sweatheart, Gang, Satanized, Drums Like Machine Guns, Stinking Lizaveta, the Notekillers, Phil Moore Brown, Fursaxa, Pissed Jeans, Affirmative Action Jackson, Sharks with Wings, Yah Mos Def, Dave P, Pink Skull, the Cobbs, Pattern is Movement, the Asteroid No. 4, Barking Spiders, Kenneth Masters, the Low Budgets, Total Fucking Destruction, DJ Stumble, Shawn Ryan, Chris Rogy, TRB DJs, Mike Z, and DJ Mental Feelings.
