SXSW Live, airing March 15-17 on DIRECTV’s channel 101, will be hosted by MTV VJ Matt Pinfield and Slunt frontwoman Abby Genet. The triple-day broadcast will also feature performances by acts such as Annuals, Polyphonic Spree, and Stars of Track and Field as well as the Buzzcocks, Lee “Scratch” Perry, and Razorlight. If you’re not familiar with the performing bands, no problem. With the touch of a button, viewers can access band information, including genre, hometown, lineup, and history. In addition, SXSW Live will offer live interviews with SXSW industry insiders and conference members, including keynote speaker Pete Townshend, Iggy Pop and the Stooges, and Spin Editor Doug Brod.
