Tour Updates: Tortoise, Mastodon
Tortoise plot North American tour. Mastodon embark on string of club gigs.
Instrumental indie rockers Tortoise have announced a 12-date North American outing, kicking off June 14 at Columbus, OH’s Wexner Center, Pitchfork reports. From there, the Chicago-based five-piece will weave through the heartland and up the West Coast, where they will stop for two gigs in San Francisco June 22-23. Next, Tortoise will descend on their hometown, then perform in Toronto and Boston, and finally wrap in New York City July 8.

Progressive hardcore outfit Mastodon have confirmed a March tour of intimate clubs across the Midwest and West Coast. The 9-date tour will commence March 17 in Austin, TX and lead the Atlanta-bred quartet north through Middle America, with stops in cities like San Antonio, Oklahoma City, and Colorado Springs. From there, Mastodon will perform in Washington State outposts Seattle and Spokane before wrapping March 28 in Portland, OR.
