Alt-rock heavyweights Tool have announced a spring tour, which follows up the band’s 2006 jaunt behind their sixth and latest LP, 10,000 Days. The outing will kick off with a pair of shows March 15-16 at Las Vegas’ Pearl venue before launching into a nationwide stroll through large venues and arenas in cities like Tucson, Orlando, and Atlantic City. Tool will conclude the tour with three gigs above the boarder, in Quebec City, Montreal, and Hamilton.

In additional tour news, endearing electro-geeks Hot Chip have announced a mini-tour prefacing their April 28 appearance at Coachella, NME.com reports. The band will play five dates in U.S. cities, beginning with an April 20 show at Manhattan’s Webster Hall, after which they’ll head west.
