Tour Updates: Mew, Son Volt

Art rockers Mew have announced a 16-date spring tour, kicking off March 14 with four consecutive gigs during Austin, TX’s SXSW festival, Brookylnvegan.com reports. From there, the Danish outfit will head east and play a handful of shows in cities like Washington D.C., Boston, and Chicago. Next, the band will skip west, descend the coast, and wrap with a gig at Los Angeles’ Fonda Theatre April 7.

In other tour news, Son Volt have mapped an extensive nationwide jaunt behind their newest full-length album, The Search, Pastemagazine.com reports. The tour will kick off with a gig in Bellingham, WA before weaving along the West Coast and through the Southwest. Next, the band will cover the South and the East Coast, concluding with a gig benefiting the Boys and Girls Club in Raleigh, NC May 19.
