Tour Updates: Jose Gonzalez, Mando Diao

Folk troubadour Jose Gonzalez has announced a U.S. mini-tour to give fans a taste of material from his forthcoming album. Gonzalez, currently at home in Sweden recording the follow-up to his debut album Veneer, will kick off his seven-date outing April 26 in Marfa, TX. From there, the singer/songwriter will head to Indio, CA for a performance at Coachella and play gigs scattered across the Midwest, with shows in cities like Grand Rapids, Minneapolis, and Colorado Springs.

In additional Swedish invasion news, garage rockers Mando Diao have announced a 15-date spring tour in support of the release of Ode to Ochrasy, the band’s upcoming long-player, dropping April 24 on Mute Records. The tour, the band’s first U.S. appearance in nearly two years, is prefaced with two shows at SXSW March 15 and will officially kick off with a performance at Coachella April 29.
