Tour Updates: CSS, El-P

Brazilian-bred sextet Cansei de Ser Sexy, a.k.a. CSS (Portuguese for “Tired of Being Sexy”), have announced a string of North American dates following an extensive European tour this spring. The indie electronic rockers’ mini outing will commence June 1 with a show at New York City’s Irving Plaza. Next, the tour will lead to Cambridge, MA then north of the border for a gig in Toronto June 4. The jaunt will wrap with performances at West Coast outposts Portland, OR and San Francisco, CA.

In additional tour news, El-P, seminal New York City underground emcee and Definitive Jux Records CEO, has announced five shows in support of the March 20 release of I’ll Sleep When You’re Dead. The new album, his second solo long-player and follow up to 2002’s Fantastic Damage, features contributions from the Mars Volta and Nine Inch Nails frontman Trent Reznor. The brief excursion will kick off March 19 in Miami and wrap March 26 in Los Angeles.
