Massachusetts-based duo the Books — Nick Zammuto and Paul de Jong — are gearing up for a 16-date spring tour. The trek, set to kick off at Ottawa, Ontario’s Babylon April 12 and wrap at Chicago’s Old Town School of Folk Music April 28, will follow a single winter performance at New York City’s Webster Hall Jan. 27. Although there’s no word on a forthcoming album, fans could expect to hear tunes off the band’s latest release, 2006’s Music for a French Elevator and Other Short Format Oddities.
