Paris-based trio the Prototypes — Isabel Le Doussal (a.k.a. Bubble Star), Stephane Bodin, Francois Marche — conjure up skuzzy and playful electro-pop perfect for shimmying through clubs in neon outfits. All five spunky tracks off their debut EP, Je Ne Te Connais Pas, are available for download (for free!) on their label’s website, mintyfresh.com. Though the band’s iPod Shuffle commercial tune, “Who’s Gonna Sing,” isn’t on the EP (nor is “Danse Sur La Merde,” which translates to “Dance on Shit”), the rest of their sung-en–francais dancehall ditties will delight.
