Plug Announces Award Show Line-up

Indie all-stars like Stephen Malkmus, Tokyo Police Club, and others to turn up for annual awards show.

Plug Award officials rolled out the annual ceremonies line-up today and named award nominees Stephen Malkmus and the Jicks, Tokyo Police Club, the Silversun Pickups, Deerhoof, and Definitive Jux’s El-P as performers scheduled to rock New York City’s Irving Plaza Feb. 10, Billboard.com reports. Hosted by comedian David Cross, Malkmus will be honored with Plug’s 2007 Impact Award for his profound “influence on independent music.”

The Plug Awards facilitates the “independent community coming together to recognize its own” in categories extending from Best Indie Album of the Year to Best Music Website. Voted on by “writers, DJs, webmasters, artists, filmmakers, managers, indie retailers, and most importantly fans,” be sure to visit the Plug Awards’ website and cast your vote.
