Madonna and Gwen Fashion Spectacular

Fashion has been embedded in rock’n’roll’s DNA since its genesis and today (Dec. 7) Madonna and Gwen Stefani continue the legacy by announcing additions to their already lengthy fashion catalogs.

Madonna, who previously teamed with H&M for wardrobe selections on her Confessions world tour, has again partnered with the Swedish brand but this time to create a line of women’s clothing to be sold in H&M stores worldwide. M by Madonna, which hopes to reflect Madonna’s unique and timeless style, is scheduled to launch globally in March, the Associated Press reports. “I’ve made no secret of my love for fashion and trends,” Madonna said. “I’m really happy with the results and look forward to wearing M by Madonna along with the rest of the world.”

Meanwhile, Holla Back Girl Gwen Stefani continues to diversify her L.A.M.B. (Love Angel Music Baby) brand with the addition of a fragrance collection. In a deal with Coty Inc., L.A.M.B. will release a fragrance marketed towards women in fall 2007, E! Online reports. “Creating a fragrance is one of the most prestigious things a designer can do,” Stefani told E!. “For me it’s like another thing you can wear and another thing I can creatively be a part of.”

Stefani also inked a deal with Huckleberry this past September to launch a line of limited-edition dolls modeled after the singer. Each doll will don a wardrobe selection from her Harajuku Lovers tour. Wow, and if Stefani hasn’t already strutted her prowess as a successful fashionista, she’s also in the works of releasing a line of handbags in conjunction with Schifter & Partners and plans to expand to wristwatch and shoe markets in the near future.
