Gwen Stefani Plans ‘Sweet Escape’

With her second solo album, The Sweet Escape, out tomorrow, Gwen Stefani has announced dates on her website for a two-month arena tour beginning in late April. The tour begins on the West Coast, moving East, then North, then back out West by late June. Dates will be released soon for worldwide shows in Australia, Asia, Europe, Central and South America.

Stefani’s album is already gaining buzz on account of lead single “Wind It Up,” jumping from No. 25 to No. 7 on the Billboard Hot 100. A DVD documenting Stefani’s 2005 tour, Harajuku Lovers Live, will also be released tomorrow. This could be the last time fans see Stefani performing on her own, as she announced recently plans to put her solo career on hold, perhaps indefinitely, after The Sweet Escape to reunite with No Doubt, who have not released an album since 2001’s Rock Steady.
