Is customizing album artwork the new black? Beck went a little Lisa Frank on us with The Information, which was enclosed with positively fun sticker inserts for decorating its blank cover. Now, San Francisco noise rockers Deerhoof are set to include not one, not two, but twelve (count ’em, twelve!) covers in their upcoming release, Friend Opportunity (out Jan. 23). SPIN.com has scored three of these paintings as composed by Glasgow-based postmodern artist extraordinaire, David Shrigley, who employed tons of vibrant colors for depicting letters, faces, and, er, awkwardly mating animals?
