Curtain Call for Rainer Maria

Sunday night marked the end of an era for indie icons Rainer Maria, who capped off their three-show farewell at Northsix in Williamsburg. With standouts “Catastrophe” and “Life of Leisure,” the trio delivered a set blending their famously raw lyrics with driving, danceable beats. Vocalist/bassist Caithlin De Marrais smiled when her passionately pogoing, fist-pumping fans sang as loudly as she did, and the lead lady wiped her eyes between songs in gracious thanks. “These last shows are so fun!” declared guitarist/vocalist Kyle Fischer. “I want, like, ten!” Judging by the crowd response, so did everyone else.
