Bloc Party has opted to cancel the remainder of its dates opening for Panic! At the Disco due to the health of drummer Matt Tong, who suffered a collapsed lung during a performance last Thursday. “We would like to apologize to all of our fans here who won’t be able to see us on this tour,” frontman Kele Okereke said in a statement. “We were looking forward to playing in a number of American cities that we’ve never been to before, however, Matt’s health is our number one priority right now.” According to a spokesperson for the band, doctors have advised Tong not to travel or perform for at least a few weeks while his lung heals. Ticket refunds are available at point of purchase.
