Fans who tuned in to watch Green Day and U2 perform their version of “The Saints Are Coming” at the re-opening of the Louisiana Superdome will be able to get their hands on a copy of the tune when a new U2 best-of album hits stores Nov. 21. Alongside the collaboration, the set will feature 16 of the band’s biggest songs, as well as one other, as-yet-announced new track, also produced by Rick Rubin and recorded during the Abbey Road sessions. No title or track listing has been announced yet; the band previously released two hits collections, one spanning material from 1980-1990 and another covering 1990-2000.
Before the album hits stores, the U2/Green Day cover of the Skids’ “The Saints Are Coming” will be available as a digital download until Oct. 30 and will be released as a CD single Nov. 6.
