New Video from Gnarls

It’s understood by now that Gnarls Barkley have an affinity for wacky wardrobes. SPIN.com has spotted them as everything from Greek gods to chefs to members of The Wizard of Oz odyssey, to Marty McFly and Doc Brown from Back to the Future (Spin‘s November cover), so it’s no surprise the duo have made a theatrical video for their hit album’s “Who Cares?” The clip is a gore-y, Blacula-inspired affair featuring Mario Van Peebles as he channels his inner vampire, an appropriate casting decision since the actor’s no stranger to stalking dark alleys — he’s a 21 Jump Street alum. Just in time for Halloween, the video is gearing up the blogosphere for the year’s spookiest holiday.
