Long Island pop-punk mainstays Brand New are following up 2003’s Deja Entendu with The Devil and God Are Raging Inside Me (out Nov. 21), and you can preview that album’s dynamism with “Sowing Season (Yeah).” The mood-shifting track alternates between floating and pummeling: Frontman Jesse Lacey’s vulnerable croon echoes in concert with softly chiming guitar before he boosts the track’s emotional weight by launching into screams, which are backed by Brian Lane’s colossal drumming.
