Days after postponing a handful of shows, Guns N’ Roses have announced they’ll play a full-fledged tour in support of their forever-forthcoming album, Chinese Democracy. Axl Rose has promised the album would be in stores by the end of the year, and according to a statement from the band’s management, fans just may see the album before 2007. “As for Guns N’ Roses forthcoming Chinese Democracy,” the statement reads, “the only comment at this time is that there are 13 Tuesdays left between now and the end of the year.”
In the meantime, fans can hear some of those new tunes played live when the band’s 36-date trek kicks off Oct. 20 in Jacksonville, FL and rolls through the continent until Jan. 16. Frequent GNR guest Sebastian Bach will open for the band for the duration of the tour, with “Special Guest” spots going to various bands, including Papa Roach, who will provide support from Oct. 20 through Nov. 3. “It’s been a long time getting here,” Rose said in a statement, “but we look forward to coming to your town and having a lot of fun.”
