Doc-Style Video from Drones

Australian rock quartet the Drones have released the video for “Jezebel,” the thick-as-molasses slow-burning opener off their new release, Gala Mill. The track plays like an eight-minute garage-fueled dirge, and it touches on subjects like nuclear testing in Australia and the infamous murder of reporter Daniel Pearl. The video for the track is equally dark, as monochrome or black and white clips of decades-old footage of destruction (an exploding atomic bomb, street riots, and marching S.S. officers are all featured, to name a few) quickly flash across the video, which serves as a menacing portrait of the past.
