Spend Xmas with Sufjan Stevens

Sufjan Stevens will release a Christmas-themed box set this year, filled with material he’s recorded each December since 2001. Stevens’ label, Asthmatic Kitty, had been archiving the songs, but they’ll see the light of day on Nov. 21, just in time for this year’s holiday season. The set consists of five individually wrapped EPs, one from each year of Stevens’ Christmas sessions, which, according to a press release, were begun in an attempt by the singer to appreciate Christmas more. Expect to find holiday favorites like “Silent Night,” “Hark! The Herald Angels Sing,” “O Holy Night,” “The Little Drummer Boy,” and many more, plus the box will be stuffed with Christmas stickers, a songbook, and a holiday-themed family portrait of the artist himself. Oh joy! Read the rest of the infomercial-like announcement here at Asthmatic Kitty.
