Rock Star: Supernova Pick Name

Following a court order forcing them to change their name, the band formed on CBS’ Rock Star: Supernova have opted to call themselves — wait for it — Rock Star: Supernova. Yep, after a judge ordered that the band could not be named Supernova, since another band have held that moniker for 17 years, Tommy Lee, Jason Newsted, Gilby Clarke, and new addition Lukas Rossi agreed to just use the name of the show that spawned them. “It’s going to be Rock Star: Supernova. That’s their actual name,” a spokeswoman for the group’s label, Epic Records, told Reuters. The band’s debut album will be released Nov. 21. Jodey Lawrence, Art Mitchell, and David Collins (aka Supernova), you can rest easy.
