It’s Perry’s Party: A Lollapalooza Portfolio

When Perry Farrell conceived of Lollapalooza 15 years ago as Jane’s Addiction’s farewell tour, he probably never thought it would come to this: eight stages, more than 130 bands, and an average of 60,000 guests per day over a gorgeous, long summer weekend (August 4-6) on 69 acres of Chicago’s Grant Park. We attended in ’91 (and beyond) and were thrilled to return with renowned photographer Steven Sebring to capture some of the festival’s most exciting artists exclusively for Spin. He had an all-access pass and so can you: These images are just a taste of the thousands he shot. For many more photos, click the link below, and stay tuned to this space as we post additional images from this historic Lollapalooza shoot over the coming weeks.
