Idlewild Confused by OutKast

Scottish band Idlewild are more than a bit confused by OutKast’s new Idlewild projects (the movie and the soundtrack), and lead singer Roddy Woomble has expressed his concern over it via the band’s website. “Not sure what’s up with this new OutKast album,” wrote the troubled singer. “Keep seeing posters for it and thinking I’ve forgotten about a concert.” But don’t think this means a collaboration between these Scots and OutKast is in the cards, Idlewild fans. Woomble explains: “Not that it’s likely Idlewild would play a show with Andre 3000 and Big Boi (what a stupid name).” The self-deprecating Woomble then concludes: “Maybe when our new LP comes out next February some unfamiliars will think we’re some sort of OutKast tribute. Could be interesting. Probably won’t be.”
