Fatherhood Ends Wolfmother Tour

Wolfmother bassist/keyboardist Chris Ross became a father one month earlier than expected, so his band decided to reschedule the final shows of their world tour to allow Ross time with his new baby boy. Ross was given the surprising news yesterday (Sept. 25) and immediately flew home to Sydney, Australia. Given his absence, the band has postponed an planned in-store for today in Chicago, as well as their show at Hollywood’s Palladium on Thursday, which will now take place Dec. 12.

Existing tickets will be valid and anyone unable to attend the newly scheduled show can obtain a refund from the point of purchase. The band’s Sept. 29 and Sept. 30 shows in San Diego and San Francisco, respectively, have been canceled. Refunds for those dates will also be available at point of purchase. The band is taking a break in October to “allow Chris some family time,” according to a post on their website, and they hope to schedule shows in the missed markets by early next year.
