On the third and final day of Bumbershoot, Seattle’s annual music and arts extravaganza, it was time to reflect on festival’s highlights. From the near-perfect weather to the view of the Space Needle, from the myriad Seattle-based bands — Rocky Votolato, Common Market, Blue Scholars, among others — keeping the festival’s local pulse strong to heavyweights like AFI, Kanye West, the New Pornographers, and Blondie, there was something here for every type and age of music fan. And with a performance from recently-reunited A Tribe Called Quest, Bumbershoot proved the perfect way to end the summer music festival season.
