Steven Seagal’s ‘Mojo’ Rising?
The 'Under Siege' star says he can handle his axe better than actor/musicians like Kevin Bacon, Keanu Reeves, et al.
Steven Seagal’s not just a butt-kicking actor, he also claims to be a master of the six-string. The Under Siege and On Deadly Ground actor released his second album, a blues album called, Mojo Rising, and he’s claiming he’s the best actor-turned-musician out there. “Kevin Bacon, Keanu Reeves, Russell Crowe, Kevin Costner — they’re not even in my universe,” Seagal told Guitar World Acoustic magazine. “You can’t find another actor who can play guitar as good as me. It’s the truth.” Also true: Seagal’s latest includes covers of classics like “Hoochie Koochie Man,” as well as the curiously-titled track, “Talk to My Ass.” As Seagal’s own site claims, “Watch those hands — they are capable of many surprises.”
Talk: Is Seagal’s Mojo rising, or should he remain the strong, silent type? COMMENT
