Peaches Skivvies Pulled Off eBay

Ebay’s administrators have decided gender-bending artist Peaches cannot sell her used underwear on their site, pulling them from an online auction to benefit Three Gut Records founder Tyler Clark Burke, who has been suffering from health problems and is raising money to buy a house. Peaches, along with other musicians and friends of Burke, donated items to the auction. “The Peaches thong auction has been impeached by eBay,” Burke wrote on his site, santacruzforever.com. “Something about adult content and no used or previously worn underwear. So, naturally, I’ve decided to auction off a ball of yarn. Whomever wins this lucky ball of yarn (and attendant tall tales) will also be sent (as a bonus gift) the hot (and still warm when mailed) thong.”

Visitors to Burke’s site can bid on opportunities like having Broken Social Scene write a song for you (sold), joining Feist as she sings your song, having k-os “read your soil,” and competing in a Scrabble tourney with Burke himself. Twenty percent of the profits from the auction will go to Habitat for Humanity.
