Dream pop bedroom whisperer Sparklehorse is set to release Dreamt for Light Years in the Belly of a Mountain Sept. 26, his first album since 2001, and he’s still crafting strangely beautiful, soft electro-pulsing lo-fi. On sensational cuts, “Don’t Take My Sunshine Away” and “Shade and Honey,” Sparklehorse’s voice practically sounds filtered through a Dictaphone, and the songs sound like they could swirl gorgeous and melodic atmospherics for days.
