Bright Light Fever — the Placerville, CA quartet of Evan Ferro (vocals/guitar/keys), Matt Ferro (guitar/vocals), Dan Sauve (bass), Robert Torres (drums) — won’t release debut album The Evening Owl until Oct. 24, but you can preview the infectiously bouncy rock sounds it teems with by sampling “Cut Down a Size.” The positively roiling song features choppy garage riffs and Ferro’s seductively driving pipes as he reflects on being demeaned and crying like only a grown man can.
