The Who, Chili Peppers to Headline V Fest

The Who and the Red Hot Chili Peppers are set to headline the upcoming Virgin Festival (V Festival) on Sept. 23 in Baltimore, Maryland. The Killers, the Flaming Lips, the Raconteurs, Gnarls Barkley, Scissor Sisters, Keane, Thievery Corporation, Clap Your Hands Say Yeah, New Pornographers, Drive-By Truckers, Kasabian, Brazilian Girls, Wolfmother, and a host of DJs including Tiesto and John Digweed, are also on the packed roster for the full-day event, sponsored by Virgin Mobile and taking place at the Pimlico Race Course. Already a successful annual event in the UK, the V Fest will come overseas for the first time this year. “People expect the unexpected from Virgin,” Sir Richard Branson, founder and chairman of Virgin, said in a statement, referring to the diverse lineup. “By creating a music festival that goes beyond expectations, we strive to make the overall live experience explosive and unique.”

Tickets for the event are $97.50 and will go on sale July 22 via Ticketmaster.
