Soul Asylum Live!

The dudes who bought a ticket for a "Runaway Train" perform the first single from their new album, The Silver Lining.

As evidenced by the video for “Crazy Mixed Up World” off their tenth album, The Silver Lining, growing older has bode well for Soul Asylum. Even though they sing about “shattered fate” in today’s world where “someone’s always got a gun and it’s all about money” on the track, these alt-rock vets looking like they’re actually having a lot of fun. Watch the clip as they perform live, owning the stage as if the outside world doesn’t exist, and frontman Dave Pirner dedicates the song to Karl Mueller, their longtime bassist who died last summer at age 41.
