Swedish indie-pop quintet Shout Out Louds get the remix treatment on four songs off their five-track EP, Combines, including Howl Howl Gaff Gaff‘s catchy single, “The Comeback.” At the hands of New York-based electronic-programming/guitar-wielding duo Ratatat, the song is made over into a slinky number totally unlike last year’s original, save frontman Adam Olenius’ characteristically earnest vocals and his band’s driving pop chorus. Otherwise, Ratatat’s remixing transforms the song into a summer-ready, bass-heavy and groove-building track.
