Favourite Sons ‘Hang On’

Buzzed-about NYC five-piece Favourite Sons have released “Hang On Girl,” a roiling rock track from their debut, Down Beside Your Beauty (out September 12). Singer Ken Griffin tackles his desolation (“I was a lonely man in a lonely bar in a lonely city in a lonely world”) by pairing up with woman who came into his life “on the devil’s arm.” Griffin sings about their status as apathetic reprobates, and his emotions are made sonically palpable with his band’s anthemic guitar squiggles and thundering rhythm section.
