U.S. Soccer Team Rocks Out

As the U.S. soccer prepares to take on the Czech Republic today at noon as part of the World Cup, dreadlocked defender Pablo Mastroeni shared his top five “desert island” albums with ussoccer.com. While we’re not surprised that the tough guy feels strongly about albums by Tupac and Pearl Jam — both could be great for getting pumped up before a match — we weren’t expecting his love for the Cranberries.

On Mastroeni’s list? Lenny Kravitz’s Let Love Rule (“Lenny Kravitz is my inspiration”); Pearl Jam’s Ten (“Everything that high school was for me”); Dave Matthews Band’s Under the Table and Dreaming (“Unique voice, great beats”); Tupac’s All Eyes on Me (“He’s like the Robin Hood of rap”); and the Cranberries’ Everyone Else is Doing It, So Why Can’t We? (“It’s got a song for every emotion”).
