LA Film Fest Kicks Off This Week!

The Los Angeles Film Festival isn’t just for the cinephile — music lovers will have tons to see and hear at this year’s fest! Among the ten-day long event’s highlights are the documentaries, including a Steve Jones-hosted screening of The Filth and the Fury, and a free showing of Al Gore’s Inconvenient Truth, which Jon Bon Jovi and Richie Sambora will open with a free performance. There will also be music video showcases, including LA Film Fest’s featured artist, FatBoy Slim, who will have his award-winning clips screened, and a compilation of the year’s best independent music videos, which includes contributions from Bright Eyes, Death Cab for Cutie, Nine Inch Nails, the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, and many more. The LA Film Fest runs June 22-July 2, and more live performances for the event are in the works.
