Watch the Hilarious Clerks II Trailer
The sequel to Kevin Smith's first successful movie premiered in Cannes this week and hits theaters this summer.
Ten years in the making, the sequel to one of the most successful indie flicks of all time, Clerks, is hitting theaters July 21 and we’ve got the superb trailer. Director Kevin Smith (Jersey Girl, Mallrats) has reunited the cast of the original film. The characters of Dante Hicks and Randal Graves have forsaken their jobs at the local strip mall for posts at a fast food burger joint; hottie Rosario Dawson (Rent, Sin City) also joins the cast.

In a clever marketing move, each principle from Clerks II has his/her own MySpace page that features the film’s trailer and some personal info. Here’s a bit of what each some of them had to say:
Dante Hicks: “I’m not even supposed to be here today!”
Jay and Silent Bob: “I’m Jay, and this is my hetero lifemate, Silent Bob. We’re interested in ass.”
Becky Scott: “Because my uncle was diagnosed with Cancer two years ago, I took over the management position in his Mooby’s franchise in Leonardo. Not really into it, but I like the guys I work with (well, one of them, at least).”
Kevin Smith: “I’m barely a director, but I am a filmmaker.”
Talk: How do you think the sequel will compare to the original? COMMENT
