What’s better than crowding in with overdressed hipsters under the blistering sun? Doing it in Coney Island to catch bands like She Wants Revenge and Art Brut play the annual Siren Fest. Well, that and having a good excuse to scarf some Nathan’s hot dogs.
On Wednesday (May 10), the Village Voice announced the initial line-up for the 6th Annual Village Voice Siren Music Festival, taking place on Coney Island on July 15 from noon-9 p.m. Stars, Tapes ‘N Tapes, the Stills, the Cribs, Celebration, and Dirty on Purpose are among the first acts confirmed to compete with the roar of the Cyclone for the sake of rock.
The festival is free and all-ages. More performers will be announced in the coming weeks.
