Panic! at the Disco Part Ways with Bassist

“There really isn’t a good way to say this,” Panic! at the Disco wrote in a statement on their website this morning. The band, whose album, A Fever You Can’t Sweat Out has sold over 500,000 copies in the U.S., announced that bassist Brent Wilson, a founding member of the Las Vegas-based quartet, has left the band. Jon Walker, a friend of the remaining band members, will fill in on bass duties for the band’s upcoming summer headlining tour. Panic! declined to elaborate on Wilson’s departure beyond the statement, but the band’s spokesperson told Spin.com that the decision was made by the band as a whole, with Wilson’s involvement, and that all are still friends.
