DMX Arrested After Ruff Airplane Ride

Notoriously airport-unfriendly rapper DMX refused to put his seatbelt on during an England-bound flight this weekend, an action that ultimately led to his arrest.

On May 13, after refusing to buckle his seatbelt on the aircraft as the plane began its final descent, DMX allegedly launched into a verbal tirade against the flight crew. The captain alerted airport police, who arrested the rapper at noon when the flight landed.

“Heathrow Police were called at 12:05 P.M. on Saturday to reports of a passenger causing a disturbance on an inbound aircraft,” a Scotland Yard official said, according to AllHipHop.com. “The plane landed at approximately 12:15 P.M. and a 35-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of being verbally abusive to cabin crew.”

DMX was released with a warning, but it’s not the first time he’s had an airport altercation. In 2004, the rapper was arrested at New York’s JFK Airport after impersonating an FBI agent and trying to steal a car.
