Depeche Mode Release Live Recordings

They’re hardly a jam band, but Depeche Mode have taken a cue from the genre, authorizing live recordings of 50 concerts from its 2006 tour.

The shows, including the April 29 performance at Coachella, will be made available at each venue or at DepecheModeLive.com, according to Billboard.com. The band will keep the tape rolling on the European leg of its tour as well, so if you can’t make it to England or France to catch their set, you can get your hands on the next best thing.

In other Depeche news, Rhino will reissue three of the band’s most well-known albums on May 16, each pumped up with a bonus DVD disc that features 5.1 audio mix, B-sides, remixes, and brand new interviews with band members. Their 1981 debut, Speak & Spell, along with Music for the Masses (1987) and Violator (1990) will all get the reissue treatment.
