Club Where Rapper Proof Killed Closes

The club where Proof was shot and killed will be closing its doors, but just for a year.

Under Michigan state law, Detroit’s CCC nightclub will be forced to shutter its doors for one year for a nuisance violation. In a deal the club’s owner made with authorities, the venue will also pay fines for illegally operating after hours, according to the Associated Press. The settlement and fines will be determined during a court hearing on Thursday.

D-12 member Proof was killed during an April 11 shootout that occurred while the club was operating illegally after hours.
