Beanie Sigel was shot in Philadelphia this morning during an attempted robbery. He is recovering at a nearby hospital. The rapper was in his car on a South Philadelphia street at about 8 A.M. when five black males in two cars approached him, firing shots into his car. Sigel was hit once or twice in his upper right arm, police told the Associated Press. The rapper managed to escape the scene and drive to the University of Pennsylvania hospital. Calls to Sigel’s spokesperson and Philadelphia police were not immediately returned.
