Talk about Late Registration — Kanye West has signed up for the Coachella festival with just two days to go before it kicks off.
But the spotlight-grabbing West won’t be top dog at the fest — that title is still held by co-headliners Tool and Depeche Mode — though he might rival Madonna for most exciting addition to the bill. West will hit the main stage (Coachella Stage) on the first day of the fest, Saturday, where his 5:45-6:35pm set will be sandwiched between those of Common and Sigur Ros.
West joins a packed roster that includes acts like She Wants Revenge, Daft Punk, the Living Things, Eagles of Death Metal, Franz Ferdinand, Lady Sovereign, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Wolf Parade, Matisyahu, and a slew of others.
Coachella runs from Saturday, April 29 to Sunday, April 30 in Indio, California. SPIN will be heavy on the scene, so check back for updates.
