Alice in Chains to Tour Behind Nonexistent Album

The rumors are true: Alice in Chains will hit the road this spring in support of… an album they’ve yet to begin recording.

AIC will head out on May 18 for a US club tour. No venues or cities have been announced yet, but the band’s official website did give a hint as to where the band would be stopping. “We can tell you that every city the band plays in has its own major league baseball team,” the post read. New York, Boston, Chicago — get psyched. Charleston, Trenton, Columbus? Not so much.

The group has chosen Call of the Wild singer, William DuVall, to handle lead vocal duties for the U.S. dates, as well as the European tour. There will also be a rotating lineup of celebrity vocalists along the tour, according to MTV News. No word yet on who is slated to take the mic.
