A decade after releasing his debut solo effort, former Sunny Day Real Estate frontman Jeremy Enigk is readying his sophomore solo album.
The as-yet-untitled project, which Enigk started working on late last year and is currently co-producing and recording in a Seattle studio, will be released on the singer/songwriter’s own Lewis Hollow imprint. Word is that the upcoming album will feature some of the lush orchestral sounds of Enigk’s last solo album, 1996’s Return of the Frog Queen. Enigk’s other side project, The Fire Theft, is on hiatus so Enigk can concentrate on this album. The final track list for the album hasn’t been determined yet, but working titles include “World Waits,” “Canons,” “River to Sea,” “All Been Said,” and “Freeway.”
Enigk plans to tour behind the album in July in Europe and the U.S. in August. No release date has been set for the album.
